Welcome to Media Support Partnership Afghanistan (MSPA) – this website is in the process of being constructed, so apologies for any glitches or anomalies in our pages.

MSPA is a registered Afghan Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) with charitable status, created in 2005. We have close links with Media Support Solutions (MSS), a sister organisation based in Scotland, UK.

MSPA fulfils a ‘Public Service Broadcasting’ role in the Afghan media. Our work is not-for-profit, and is centred on delivering improvements to the lives of ordinary Afghan people. We achieve this through specialising in the fields of distance learning and communications to help development.

A team of over 40 local staff, assisted in some domains by international consultants, is based in Kabul, Afghanistan’s capital city. We pride ourselves on the quality of our radio and video/TV productions, facilitated through our well-trained personnel, modern purpose-built studios and editing facilities, and high standards of management and quality control for all our projects.

What we do (see services for more information):

Radio Production + TV/Video Production

Radio Drama and TV series script writing

Our team comprises both experienced educationalists and producers and younger trainees who we equip with the skills necessary to excel in this important field, and continue our important work far into the future.

We  capitalise on radio (and increasingly video) as a means of reaching out to people, with an aim to helping them to help themselves through improved access to information. We broadcast programmes through national and local radio stations, in both Pashto and Dari languages, and are always open to new initiatives and co-operations with other organisations and individuals committed to the cause of furthering developmental broadcasting.
