MSPA offers a wide range of services:

Radio Production – we have purpose built studios and editing facilities at our Kabul offices, manned by both experienced and trainee production professionals, who receive regular training to keep their skills up to scratch.

Video Production – a more recent addition to our list of competencies, and one which often complements the radio work which we undertake. We have quality equipment, both to record and to edit/produce video, and dedicated personnel, and we are also training younger staff members develop their expertise in this exciting new field of the Afghan Media.

Script Writing – both for Radio Dramas and TV Series, we have staff members who excel in writing dramas which are informative, educative and, most importantly, entertaining. By developing entertaining story-lines and plots to our dramas, we captivate the imagination and interest of the listener / viewer, ensuring regular listening / viewing.

Radio and TV spots – also known as adverts, or trailers, spots are a form of advertising in which goods, services, organizations, ideas, etc. are promoted via the mediums of radio and TV. Our production expertise allows us to produce spots to a high standard, increasing their impact, and our extensive contacts with radio stations and TV networks at local and national levels helps with you getting airtime.

Production of Print Materials – we can prepare all sorts of print materials – magazines, books, pamphlets, calendars, etc – ensuring high quality-content, and have links with a number of printing presses to facilitate delivery of the final product.

Music Production – our quality recording equipment on-site is suitable for music recording. The editing facilities / recording software we use for radio are also suitable for music production, our sound engineers being experts particularly in the use of ‘Pro-Tools’, the industry standard in music production.

Translation work – We can translate fluently between Pashto, Dari and English. Indeed, most of our programmes are in both Pashto and Dari, so we translate work to a high standard on a daily basis. This is a service we offer for anybody who needs translation work done.

Capacity Building and Training – Our highly professional staff are well-placed to help build up the abilities of less-experienced trainees. This is both in terms of developing individual expertise, and disseminating best practice for project-management in the fields communications for development and distance learning. Workshops, seminars, and ‘hands-on’ training are all possible.

Needs Assessments – we can carry out research to find out what communications services people really need, and also what infrastructure and personnel is necessary to achieve the delivery of such services. This is a vital component of any project proposal, and a quality needs assessment greatly enhances the credibility of any development initiative.

Monitoring and Evaluation – an important part of any project, monitoring and evaluation both gives us indicators of levels of listener ship/ viewer ship, and an overall impression of the impact of any project. Has the project succeeded or not? This is crucial for both justifying to donors/funders the expenditure incurred in any given project, and also to allow project managers to improve on and adapt any planned project as necessary to ensure increased impact.

Implementation of Public Awareness Campaigns – bringing together our wide expertise in the media, we can implement campaigns designed to effect positive change in the behavior of the target audience. This can be a strategic combination of radio and TV dramas and spots, along with print media support, to achieve maximum publicity for the campaign. Our work is strictly apolitical, with public awareness campaigns so far being focused on health, education and social issues.
